This is a great siren, but I think that a smaller Whelen 2900 series with a recording of a shofar or something could have just as easily served this purpose. My guess is that whoever purchased this siren had no idea how loud it was going to be.

Interesting how it sounds like the blower is pulsing too, even though it's not. The blower noise heard from that distance is actually caused by the pulses of air from the blower hitting the air from the chopper.
