I was looking at the fuel cap on the Disa. It says "four measures of Castrol XL Oil to one gallon of Petrol. Any clue what "four measures" mean? I haven't had much luck online. most likely one capful is one measure. there's roughly 4 litres per gallon (1 quart is .95 litres, 4 quarts...

it isn't so much the viscosity, but the fact that it may leave some nasty fouling behind after being burned. two stroke oil is generally "ashless" and doesn't leave as much gunk.

though I wonder if it wouldn't be worth checking into whether a two-stroke oil might be wiser. conventional motor oil isn't meant to go through a combustion chamber and can foul things up quickly. a rough translation of that placard is: "a mixture of 1 liter petrol and 0.5 dl SAE 30 oil for one...
