I was on the phone with Savage when he recorded that. Funny thing about this one is that it replaced a Thunderbolt a few years ago.

I'll bet that at one time in the past, the Thunderbolt replaced the Denver. There's something to be said for simple designs.

At least the Thunderbolt was replaced with a decent siren, and not a Whelen or 2001.

Manley got both the Thunderbolt and the Denver second hand at the same time. They had the Thunderbolt up too but the RCM was spazzing out on it so they just took it down. They were going to put the Thunderbolt up at a different location but they had to use the funds to get a new motor for the Denver. They still have the Thunderbolt and are still working on getting it back up.

And before anyone freaks out about the Thunderbolt's installation, I know it isn't "correct". So just don't.

I think we know that already...
Well excuse the hell out of me then.

My apologies for bumping this thread but I recently found out some new information about these sirens.

The Village of Manley was able to obtain a grant to put up a Sentry 3V8-H-B that reliably activates with the Cass County system. The Denver was removed. I believe that the village still possesses both the Denver and the bolt.

The bolt also seems to be ex-Washington DC, given that it seems the RCM is in the blower cover.
