Monthly test of the Wood County siren system. This 2001-SRN is located next to the Owens Community College campus and sounds alert with the other sirens in the county on the first Saturday at 10:00AM. For some reason two messages were sent out over the scanner 10 minutes before the test, typically only one is sent. This is the only siren I got on this first Saturday. Taylor, MI never tested and no one was answering phones, a problem which I kind of expected after my last adventure with them. Then, Flat Rocks finest had no clue when their sirens are tested (First Saturday at 1) even after Tommy called earlier this week. Aye.
At least I got something out of the trip north, I finally found time to stop by Ash Township to see what siren replaced the 3t22b that Aaron Nepstad now owns. As it turns out they slapped a STH-10 up there of all things. (Noie seems to think this came from Galien, MI).
