I never knew they were available in single tone options.
I love Yamaha Music Sirens.

Soundmaster only made a couple single tone 115s. They were usually 12 port. The other known example went to some town in Minnesota and was featured in a 2007 news video, highlighting its then-recent failure.

I remember seeing Browntown's siren years ago. Great to know what it sounds like.

I absolutely hate to bump this thread, but could that town have been Clarissa, MN? Apparently they have (had?) a single tone Soundmaster at their fire department. The street view hasn't been updated since 2009 for whatever reason so there's no telling if it's still there.

I have an unhealthy obsession with mini sirens.

It's hard to tell by the satellite view, but there is a siren on that pole and might still be the 115. Unfortunately there isn't a date on THAT image, so I'll get back to you on it looking at other satellites.

Another Street View courtesy of Bing Maps indicates that on May 27th, 2015 the siren was still there: Image

I then looked on Google Earth to find the date of that satellite view on Google Maps. If it lines up, it's August 30th, 2016. Siren is still there as of that date.
Owner of no sirens currently, but is looking to purchase and restore sirens for communities needing them.

Interesting, I might have to try and take a look and see if it's still there if I'm ever in the area. If it's still active it's something I would love to record.
