Awhile ago, I headed over to Dixon to one of their two 3T22s. The siren didn't sound, but in the distance I heard another siren go off. We later confirmed with the EMA that Webster County's sirens are tested on only the first Fridays of the month and that the siren located downtown does a daily noon whistle. Skip forward a few months later on the first Friday and I was pretty shocked hearing this siren do a hi-lo/pulse tone. It's hard to tell since the bottom intake is blocked, but I'm confident it's doing hi lo similar to Morganfield's now defunct 3T22. It was nice hearing a noon siren for once considering there aren't too many left in the area. Morganfield's old system is now gone, and we suspect others may do the same and do away with daily noon blasts. In fact, I only know of two towns locally that still do them. Of course, there could also be a few more lingering about.
And here's some other vidoes I haven't had to chance to post on here (mostly due to laziness and procrastination). Check em' out.
