Shot on July 13, 2016. This is a quarterly nuclear alert siren test of the Catawba Nuclear Plant siren system. I was able to come here for this test. And this is the first time I ever filmed a nuclear siren test. I had problems with the scanner so no activation tones, sorry. The camera was set up next to a busy highway. This siren is located near Fort Mill, South Carolina at the outside of Carowinds (a busy amusement park) and right next to North Carolina state line off of Carowinds Blvd near Pleasant Rd.
