Finally got a recording of a siren in Limestone County, as well as finally being able to record a Whelen! I was going to go to one of the 508 sirens, but I was running rather late, and didn't think that I'd be able to make the test in time, so I decided to go here instead. This siren has to be the most powerful siren I've even recorded, as I could really feel it while it was running.
This siren is at the small fire department in Bella Mina, AL, next to the Norfolk Southern line.
Limestone County, AL tests their sirens on the second Monday of every month at 9:15 AM, weather permitting.
