First Automatic Test of my T-128 + 1 Mile Distance

Thu Apr 09, 2020 4:31 am

For anyone not on the FB page or following me on YT, here’s the first automatic run of my T-128. Tests are scheduled Saturday at noon sharp. It even beat the neighboring counties by a minute or so.
The programmed cycle is 1 minute alert, 1 minute off, 1 minute attack. The siren arms itself at 11:59 and holds until 12:04. In an actual emergency I have the ability to set the siren off remotely via a cellular connection and WiFi based controls. The siren was purchased from the City of Antigo, WI and restored over the past three months, including building said controls from scratch. This siren will alert the Town of Borth, WI through September when I take it all home. Thankfully, the owner of my “home” bar (this is WI after all) saw me post something about it and offered to give it a home for the summer while I test the controls for a season. Eventually, the goal is to move into a more suitable home in the country somewhere and the siren will have a more permanent installation.
Thanks and enjoy!

That's really cool, it's awesome that you got controls set up for it with that many features!

Thanks! It’s honestly a lot simpler than one would think. I’m in the process of writing something up for it later.

I love the restoration job you did on it. Dark gray looks great on this!
I have an unhealthy obsession with mini sirens.
