I did a 6 PM blast of my Thunderbolt 1000T. The information tag on the side of the rotator box says that the type is a 1000 3 phase, but this siren has a dual tone 5/6 port chopper. The serial number is T-2356-D. I am pretty sure that this has an A series blower, making it a 1000AT.

The "A" means it's 3-phase, a "B" means it's single phase.

If I recall correctly, the last 2 digits of the serial number signify the year of installation. If so, then this siren was installed in 1956 and usds a 6M series A1 blower. Of course, the owner could have very easily gotten a different blower for it.

I did hear something about that the serial number was the year it was installed. This siren does NOT have an A1 6M blower in it. It looks to have a 7.5 3 phase motor in it. Also the blower was not changed since we got this.

You have a mid to late 60s 4M A2. Could even be early 70s but I am not sure. I have the tag from T-1843-D which was a 1963 1000AT. If I had to make a rough guess on when yours was built given the blower (4Ms hit the scene in 1965), I'd say yours is from approximately 1966-1967.

That almost looks like a 5M. Need a photo where you can see the blower unit itself from above.
