A few days ago, I got a call from a friend telling me his mom heard this thing go off at noon, which is completely opposite of what the city told me the year before. So I call the city again, and it turns out, they now have this hooked up, and it runs every day at noon for 1 whole minute. After the blast, I talked with an elderly gentleman who was also there for the siren. It turns out, this thing hasn't been used for almost 20 years, until just this Easter, which it was used to start the egg hunt in the park next to it. I'm pretty sure he's the one that got the ball rolling to get this hooked back up, because he's asked to the city council and the mayor to get this turned back on, and finally they did. This siren is located at the Sunset Central Park, in Sunset, UT. This siren was installed in 1956, and was used presumably until at least 2006, before it was reactivated again.

It's amazing that they randomly reactivate a siren after sitting idle for 20 years.
