I've been going through photos from when I used a 35mm camera, and found a couple of interest...

These are in Randallstown, MD - I believe they're still in place, and if I remember correctly, the Model 5 was used for fire calls. (July 2005)

Somewhere in Milford, OH, in the front of a subdivision - it's been a while since I have been there, and I don't recall the name. (November 2005)

Image

Fairly sure this is somewhere in Indiana. (April 2006)

Here's an old Fedelcode in Seekonk, MA atop a former fire station. This siren has since been removed. :(

Went around Scottsbluff, NE today and took a few pictures of the 4 Thunderbolts we still have. There were originally 5 but one was replace about 4 years ago. The ones that are double pole mounted are original installs and the two that are single pole mounted were relocated about 10 years ago. Unfortunately the new emergency management director is seeking to replace them but with the intent of relocating them just outside of city limits. They are functioning perfectly and still sound as if they were purchased yesterday. The two that were taken down and relocated were restored. I have pictures of the original installs that I will upload sometime.

Here's some pictures I've been meaning to upload for a couple of weeks now.

This is the Canadian Model 2 at the Winnipeg Beach Volunteer Fire Department. This siren is still active, but I never hear it activate, since I live about a mile from the station, well out of the effective range of the siren. It follows the same activation procedure as the Gimli VFD, meaning it sounds 30 seconds of alert for fire calls, continuous alert for severe weather and shelter-in-place warnings, and a few rounds of manual attack for all-clear.

A couple of years ago, the town built a new Fire/Public Works building, pictured below. I assume they are still using the old building, since they would've tore it down by now. However, I think if they ever tear down the shack, the Model 2 will be replaced with a more powerful siren, since most of the volunteers live outside of the siren's range, or they may do away with a siren altogether, since every volunteer carries a pager at all times.

This Whelen in Canajoharie, NY. It's paired with a Sentry, which I suspect cane from Rural Grove VFC, right outside of Canajoharie:

Found a completely random Model 2 in the middle of Madison, NJ. Terrible StreetView image because I forgot to go back and get a proper picture of it. Not sure what it is used for, if it's used at all.

Here's a picture of the last thunderbolt in Minneapolis (that I know of.) It's to the left on top of the parking ramp. Across the street there is a speaker array. I don't know if the thunderbolt is active, and I wonder if the speaker array could be a replacement for it. I also have no idea what the speaker array is. I'm thinking DSA?https://ssl.panoramio.com/photo_explore ... er=7208729

Profile picture was done by a player on the robocraft forums. Josh555 edited it to 140 by 140 pixels. Thanks!

It's still active, it is owned by the university.
