I am happy to find this forum and hope I can not only find great information but also contribute in the future.

I just purchased a Tempest T-128-DC for use at a Boy Scout camp in the Adirondack mountains of upstate New York. Our camp is very large (about 1400 acres) and our current siren cannot be heard well in the farthest campsites, so we have been looking to upgrade. We only use the siren once a week for "lost bather" alert drills, and in actual emergencies (only one in 2019, none in 2018).

Our T-128 did not come with the controller, so we will be fabricating something for the 48V system.

I will be searching the forum for information, but there are several hundred search results so it will take a while!

In the meantime, if anyone has a wiring diagram or manual for a T-128 It would be most appreciated.

I'll post a picture when we pickup the unit and when we get it mounted in camp (in May).

Thanks in advance,
Dave

I believe you can look up t-128 manuals, and I also believe you can buy a controller for one.

Welcome! There are several manuals availiable online if you ask around.
As for controls, there are usually some form of a control unit for sale, and a T-128 will most likely be compatiable with most control units, or a homemade one could also work if it was done correctly.
May I ask what kind of siren (if you know) the camp has now? There could be a blocked intake or damper that is hindering the sound output.

Thanks for the help. I did find an excellent PDF manual on line.

I'll be up at camp in the next month and will take a picture of the existing siren. They are pretty small, and I'm not sure they ever reached the far campsites. It's just that New York State is tough on youth camps, and they ratchet up the requirements and inspections every year, so what was fine 10 years ago is no longer acceptable.
