Re: What type of siren could this be: The "TV/movies" Siren

This is one in their current lineup. This one has one rotor, however there were some that were built that were single tone with dual rotors 10/10.

On a side note the company e2s sales sirens with a similar style. They are sold in the UK, but they also have an office in Texas. Technically this is the only company left in the US that offers 10/12 port sirens, and while all of the motor specs say 380VAC they do sale them with other voltages like 240V. Kinda neat to see that you can still buy a classic sounding siren here brand new.

It is not a single toned Klaxon, It is a Model 2-240 in an area with a lot of trees that was recorded from a distance.
Why I say it is in an area with a lot of trees, is because the echo has the effect of the sound passing off from one to another
It's definitely not a Model 2. Listen to the linear wind up. That's an induction motor. Model 2s have universal motors. Without getting too specific, they are brushed motors, and these types of motors have an logarithmic spin up. Induction motors spin up in a linear fashion. Compare a Model 1 or 2 wind up to a 10 port HOR siren, and you'll see what I mean. You are right about the reverb, the recording was taken near a wooded area or in a city somewhere.

But the video you linked of the Model 2 is a 120 volt one. The one used in the stock audio is a Model 2-240 going off
Just listen to this

Sounds EXACTLY like it.
and at the end of the stock audio, You can hear a faint XT22 in the background, and in the area of where the Springdale Model 2 video was taken has a 2T22 near it, and even in Cheswick, PA, They have a Model 2-240 and a 2T22.

It's a subtle difference bud but the OPs siren there isn't a model 2. Sounds a lot like one but it does sound more like a klaxon siren or a siren with an induction motor (which I don't believe any model 2, even the fedelcode, had... I could be super wrong there tho...)
Own and love a Thunderbolt 1000 and a Model 5.

I have many hobbies and interests. And I love them all.

BUMP:
I have found out that this is not a Siro-Drone nor a Model 2.
This is a vertical Carter siren presumably 9 or 10 port.
Pay attention to the end of this stock audio and you can very well hear CLMs winding down in the background
This is Toronto's system..
Here is a photo of this vertical Carter, it is the siren on the right

Here is a higher quality version of this audio, a bit extended aswell.

It also offers a very good listen for the CLMs at the end, the clarity is off the charts.
