SOOooo...
While mapping out Fannin county, I stumbled across this gem in a town called Ladonia. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ladon ... 95.9456591
Now this isn't the first time one of these has surfaced near me..... Image

So the question arises...are these scream-masters? If not, what are they?

I've stumbled across that same siren on street view. And obviously I took the picture of the siren pic you linked. I really think this is/has the guts of a FS Model 2. Look how tiny the actual siren is by its silhouette...

Hmmm. It looked like the rotor was on the bottom to me, but I see where you're coming from. This begs the question...who made these housings?

Here's a picture a friend took of a champion.

I'm not convinced. I'm just not seeing it, and I don't think that the siren is that old.

Can confirm, Darley Champion. Someone in the area may have fabricated the housings, but those are definitely Champion sirens.

It does not look like a Scream-Master. The Scream-Masters came in a few different sizes but this does not look like what they built. Scream-Masters were made by the R. J. Zievers Inc. entity during the 1950s and just about vanished once the Cold War hit its peak. During the start of the Cold War, everyone wanted to make a siren and cash in. The market just became too lucrative especially when you had a big company (Federal) fulfilling everything Civil Defense desired at the time.
