A siren model focusing specifically on being easily managable by anyone is a really cool idea. I'd love to see something like this on a wider scale, to convince those stubborn counties that they won't drain their funds in maintenance fees. With weather shifts in the US being as unpredictable as they are, easily accessible and affordable siren systems are more important than ever before (well, except for during possible time periods of air raid threats)

I have had this idea before. A few products I had in mind were a basic controller that could do things like alert/attack/hi-lo and could be connected to any speaker. It would have grid-tied or solar power options and use long-life batteries. Another one is an electromechanical siren the size of a Model 2 but with better acoustic design, such as tuned horns and a directional rotor. Maybe even have a small rotating mechanical siren. My main goal behind these would be that they could be installed by any local electrician willing to do so rather than a company that specializes in things like installing sirens.
