You'd probably need to take electrician classes, no doubt.

....Not sure how old you are, so some of this may not apply to your situation.

In your Jr. High / middle school years get good grades in mathematics(Algebra) and take industrial arts/shop classes.
In High school continue on with Algebra, if your inclined, Calculus and Trigonometry....continue on with industrial arts/metal shop/electronics/electrical
Post High School or possibly Sr. year in High School.....Vo-Tech School electronics and/or electrical classes....try and get hired on for OJT (on the job training) with an electrician as an apprentice.

Mechanical and electrical engineering. If you can work on cars you can figure out sirens pretty quickly.

Having the ability to work on radio receiving and transmitting equipment to activate a siren system is looked upon very favorably by many contractors that maintain outdoor warning siren systems.

You need to be an industrial master electrician (source: sentry sirens) and need to be certified by the factory. You also need to be certified in handling a crane, telephone pole regulations and laws, laws regarding permits and surrounding structures, radio operations, and a plethora of other public works/ safety matters. Remember, it takes a lot to lift over 1000 pounds into the air and send a gargantuan amount of electricity to it.
Own and love a Thunderbolt 1000 and a Model 5.

I have many hobbies and interests. And I love them all.
