Alex,

It really depends on your city, there could be a lot of variables, like how flat your city is, how many trees are there, and even how the weather conditions are. I would give a P-15 probably a one-mile, or maby two-mile radius, give or take. As for the 2903, maybe a half-mile, to a mile. Electronic sirens are not as powerful as mechanical. Especially with only 3 cells. That this varies with each siren, and how your land is. The best way to find the radius is to drive about a mile out and see if you can hear them, if yes, go father out, if no go father in and that'll give you your answer. Anyone else on the board is welcome to correct me.

A P-15's coverage radius is approximately 5440ft. The 2903 is approximately 3000ft (according to Whelen). This is using the 10db loss per distance doubled thingy. This simulates an average summer day, with little to no wind interference and little structural interference. I made a chart ranging every decibel rating's coverage radius. From 98db (Screamer S-2) to 135db (P-50). Here is that for those who need it!
