Recently decided to drive down to my local fire station to snap pictures of this STH-10. Fire chief was kind enough to let me snap these pics and even told me some of its backstory. Siren was installed in 1983 during the construction of the station, used for fire calls until 2009, when Dartmouth FD District 3 switched to using radios for calls. It was still tested monthly afterwards until 2017 when the building and driveway were renovated. During the driveway renovation, wires connecting the siren to the control panel were severed, resulting in the siren being deactivated. The chief told me that in order to use the siren for a funeral, a truck had to be brought in with a generator to give it power. This is why I can’t provide video of it running unfortunately, but I did snap nice pics of it and learned its sad tale.

Located at 140 Cross Road in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
