I think it’s a foghorn? If you can see the image I attached they can get pretty big. I guess they have to be heard from miles away, but it’s surprising to me that they can be as large as entire buildings.

I think thats a diaphone? Are there any diaphone experts here?
That’s not a diaphone. Google that first.

It does however look to be an air horn more than a siren. Where is it located?
If I am not mistaken, it's in Canada somewhere. Toronto maybe?

Where is it? Can we see it on Googlemaps? Streetview? What's the building for?

That’s what I was thinking too and that’s why I was curious where it was. Wanted to see if there was water nearby.

Here's the Toronto horn. Definitely looks like the same thing, but on a different building. Probably a fog horn.

Looks like they're of the same manufacture. Probably a fog horn of some sort, although it could have been an early weather alert system

Oh holy hell that is low
What makes matters worse is that it is active. I might record it someday since I live close to it.
It looks like it's a pre-1972 short horn version too, it could possibly be 10/12 or 8/12. If you could record it that would be awesome.
I have an unhealthy obsession with mini sirens.

I think all Allertors installed in Arkansas were Pre-1972.

Sirens may not be sexy, but they sure work.
