That one was actually just removed sometime within the last month or two, and I think it will now be on display at the Cold War Museum here in Northern VA.
Did anything go up to replace it?

I think we're all beginning to reach in this thread. Remember this is a thread that has featured very low sirens. I'm seeing people posting a lot of sirens at standard height.

While the Modulator in this video (not mine) is technically not low to the actual earth, it is mounted on the top level of a parking garage practically at ear level. You can even park next to it.

I've seen that video and other examples like that before, and it freaks me out every time. You don't want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time with these.

Both E-Classes in Downtown Cincinnati are the same way. One is on a parking garage, while the other is mounted on the side of Paul Brown Stadium (Bengals Stadium) in a spot where people could stand right next to it.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(
