Low mounted Sirens in US

This has to be the lowest mounted siren in the US. It is 8 feet above ground in a park right next to playground Located Ironton, WI

That's rather disturbing. Still, it looks to be on a hill.
What's the height relative to the 'warning area'?

I've seen a ground mounted model 5, complete with a little roof built over it and a concrete pad poured for the base. It was since relocated to a pole several years ago. But that T-beam is low!

Last week, I went on a trip to West Texas, and in Marathon, they had a Federal Signal 2001 mounted about 10 feet off the ground.

Wow, i can't believe they would put a Thunderbeam (or any siren) that low to the ground. That is just crazy!

It would be funny if the fence was electrified to keep out nosy kids.
Also I hope it is not a dog park although it would be funny.

In Los Angeles County , circa 1955, at least 3 strands of Bobed
wire above the fence line, today Razor wire
if we had working
T-bolts and Chryslers. Must be a Nice kid
neighborhood free of
Gangs and spraypainted walls .
Ahhhh but life was better everywhere in the late 50's and early
60's for large CD siren systems.
