It’s not hooked up, not to mention the Vortex next to it... looks like it’s being kept for storage maybe for use somewhere else.

This is probably the lowest mounted siren of all time, its ground mounted atop Ray Roberts Dam in Texas. I pictured it in person

Wow! I don't think it can get any more literal to the title of this thread.
Architecture preservationist. I enjoy obscure history and mapping things, and grew up around sirens. Not planning to own one.

It's so weird how sirens look so small up on a pole even if they're low, but then when they are on the ground their size really shows! It's like an illusion.

If you go back to 2012 streetview, it was mounted next to the Vortex at a similar height.

If you really think about it the dam siren is not that low because it is up on a dam. Really, to figure out the lowest siren you have to figure out where above or even below the sea level it is. I'd say our current winner is the Tipton Allertor so far.
