What Happened to Jefferson City's Penetrators?

As of 2020, most of Jefferson City's cold war system of Single and dual tone P-15s have been removed. I was wondering what became of these sirens after removal as Penetrator sirens are not a common site in Missouri the only others being in Nevada and Eldon.

Has anything replaced them or are they just being removed without replacement?

They were removed several years ago and replaced by Whelen 2900s. The Penetrators are long gone.

Which Whelen Dealer did they get the whelens from? Could explain where those penetrators went.

The most likely outcome was they were stripped of the copper wiring and scrapped. There was a 2t22 on the west end of the city on the north side of US 50 near the mall in addition to the P-15s. I doubt that the old sirens were repurposed elsewhere. It was an old system and although it served well it was worn out. And as an FYI Thayer, in south central MO near the Arkansas border has at least 2 old ACAs although not penatrators and Stockton MO has (or had) 2 ACA tophats.

If you're scavenging for artifacts, and I mean really digging, if you're lucky they leave sometimes leave the old controller behind when the siren goes away. It's not with much for scrap and they have a comparably low resale value. If it's a direct replacement the new sirens controller is generally used. I saw an SD10 on river road that had a new box right next to what I presume was the old CD two tone radio.

For thunderbolt removals, some crews just take the head and leave the entire blower assembly. As for the old penetrators, if the sirens themselves are gone all that's left is probably their controllers. And that's best case scenario.

The 2T22, and all former penetrators I know of are completely gone. Interestingly, the 2T22 in the Northwest corner of the city seemed to have had an ACA controller of some sort, but is now completely removed. I do want to go on a hunt for Jefferson city's old Penetrators and locate all of their former locations however. Since some were not removed until 2016-2017 they can still easily be seen on 2008 streetview. As these older images can tell us alot about what they had since they had a system of Single and Dual Tone Penetrators, with the only dual toned one being in downtown near the capital building. It kind of interests me to see what they have in entirety of their old system. Also looking for any old recordings of their pre whelen system. After doing some digging I think you can hear the 2T22 mid way through the video, https://youtu.be/VIkVVVMcBJI

Forgot about this, but a Dual Tone Pole Mounted penetrator-15 is seen in this video, anyone have the address or location where it used to be?

Update, I found another P-15 (single tone) near the school. This one was removed after 2013 and was outside of Moreau Heights Elementary.
38.55183, -92.17006
I also made a map of their civil defense system and what it would have looked like.
