Darley Model 3 or 2?

Mon Jan 25, 2021 6:17 pm

So this is probably gonna sound stupid, but I don’t fully know the difference between a Darley Model 3 and 2. So the map that I use claims that all these sirens are model 3s:

https://goo.gl/maps/qaKCCNxa5YfsDWXz5
https://goo.gl/maps/msujACnnvxcM2sL47
And that’s just a few. The problem is, on the pics on the internet show the model 3 looking like a Darley 5, and the siren that I think is a 3 is actually a 2. BUT, to me these sirens still look a bit different to a two, the curve of the top shroud looks more even, the shrouds look farther apart, the shrouds are shorter and they look a lot shorter and stubbier. So I am reaching out as I am working on a map right now and I do not want to mislabel a bunch of sirens.

How rare are they? Because there are like 3 or 4 of them within an hour drive of me, and I can’t find many videos of them.
