3T22 'crashing dinner plate sound' during wind-up

Fri Sep 17, 2021 7:02 am

why did the 3T22 make the "crashing plate" sound in the beginning? Is that normal or did the 3T22s need repair?

The "crashing ceramic plates" sound can be heard on the sound clip

That's the noise of the solenoid closing.
Sirens may not be sexy, but they sure work.

10V2T is correct its the solenoid and there is a piece of metal/lip edge on the inside of the intakes of the 3T22 for the solenoids as can be seen in this photo -- https://bit.ly/3lDdEsE and the solenoids bang against that and that is why you hear a clanging sound because each time one solenoid closes it hits that lip and it clangs.
