Is that even a siren?? If so, that's tiny!
It looks like it might be an antenna of some sort.
I have to agree, that is very weirdly-shaped. Especially the slender bit between what might be a motor and what might be the rotor/stator assembly. Plus, the "motor" seems oddly large compared to the noisemaking bits. I can't imagine why, but maybe it's missing the stator?

Any Idea what this thing in Roundup, MT could be.
I'm thinking it could be a Sterling or a Denver with this custom housing.

Pretty impossible to tell without seeing the cover removed, but it could also be a Federal Type B.

It has a Denver-like style housing. I personally think it is a Denver.
A siren a day, keeps the doctor away. ;)

1. Model 2
2. Finback Vortex and Sterling M45
3. Weltex siren
What is a Sterling M45? Are you sure you didn't mean Sterling M-3?

I thought that too at first, but I did a search of Hedberg sirens, as it was suggested that this siren is a Hedberg, and it's actually a much better match than Denver considering the stator design.

M45 is a confirmed model of 5hp Sterling siren. This Worthpoint listing is a dual-rotor 5hp Sterling that clearly says "Mod. M45" on the label. I'm not sure how much is actually known about it and how it compares to other Sterling models though. Considering that the long-used "N-5" name has turned out to be incorrect, I wouldn't be all that surprised if there's another model name we're also using incorrectly.

That listing took my by surprise. I was under the impression that the M45 model name was limited to the single headed version of the M series, because someone on here has an "N-5" with a tag calling it an M45, but I guess not.
