N-5 is just a misnomer, right?
I'm pretty sure.

Yeah, I've been told by multiple sources that "N-5" was found to be a false term for what is apparently actually called the M-3. There still seems to be mystery behind Sterling's model numbers though.

There's a defunct single-head Sterling near my house on a warehouse building, I don't know who owns the building but there's always the possibility of gaining roof access and taking a look at the tag on it, if it's still legible.
Architecture preservationist. I enjoy obscure history and mapping things, and grew up around sirens. Not planning to own one.

I went to the Wikipedia page for the siratone series the other day. I'm not sure if this counts, but it said something about an EOWS M12. Any ideas?
Then again, Wikipedia isn't 100% accurate.

I have no clue if this is even a siren. The place has a systems of ATI sirens, but this one looks nothing like an ATI. You cannot go on street veiw, and that makes is even harder.

Judging by the fact that it's near an airport, I'd say its some kind of beacon or some other aviation thing. It doesn't really look like a siren from aerial view.
Sentry rules, ATI's are for fools.
