Hopefully so! I want to experience the Thunderbolts before they go away! (I'll be out there in 1-2 years.)

Siren Locations Map

Thu Apr 01, 2010 5:03 am

There were three locations in White Bear Lake, MN that were not entered on the Google map:

The first location has a Thunderbolt 1003 at the corner of County Rd. E and McKnight Rd.

The second location has an ACA Allertor 125 at the corner of Stacker Blvd. and Stacker Place (it's sort of a U-shaped street near the intersection of East County Line and County Rd. F).

Finally, there is an RSH-10 (Thunderbeam) at the intersection of Hickory Trail and Otter Lake Rd. in the northern part of town.

Thanks bytor55110 I'll update the map. Let me know of anymore. My mom lives close to White Bear Lake, maybe I can get some pictures next time I visit.

Maplewood, MN siren location @ US 61 and County D

Mr. Mast, I also wanted to point out that the siren located at Highway 61 and County Rd. D in Maplewood is correct. The marker you have is just to the southeast of the siren's location.

Thanks again bytor55110. I had to go into Bing maps birds eye view to find that one. If you find any more let me know.

Here is a map of St. Paul siren locations -- it is a screen cap from a video they have on YiuTube about their recent replacement of all their sirens.

The Montgomery Ward building off of 94, between 94 and University Avenue, in St. Paul had a Thunderbolt 1000T on top of it. We pulled off the highway and into the Montgomery Ward parking lot during a tornado warning in 1983 to listen to the warning on the radio. I remember the siren going off. It was dual-toned, not single-toned like the other St. Paul Thunderbolts. Montgomery Ward was torn down in 1996.
