Bergen County, NJ Sirens

As a resident of Bergen County, I'd like to know why the towns here have sirens in random locations, and what they go off for. MY town has three Model 2's, (none of which test), so this is why I'd like to know. It also appears that some of the Model 5's here are CD sirens. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If they aren't active they're probably CD sirens.

I just specified that.

You said the Model 5's were CD sirens, not the former (the 2s)
My area has a bunch of inactive CD sirens as well. It's normal.

The Model 2's are active, however I don't know what they go off for.

Have you contacted the county EMA? They might have some knowledge

Not yet, and I don't want to as they will most likely have no knowledge on the sirens.

What do you mean? Your message is blank.

Here's a guess:
If they go off and you hear fire truck sirens, they're fire sirens.
If there's a storm and they go off, they're storm sirens.
Simple, eh?
