Maybe since spring is a month away they decided to risk it? I'm in Columbia MO for college now and they've got 2001's around here- they certainly don't pack the same punch as T-128's!

Possibly, or they figured it would be way too cold next week for a makeup growl test. But today was very sunny and got up to about 36 in the afternoon.

I was looking at Mason, OH's 2021 city budget and noticed that they are planning on replacing 2 tornado sirens at 30,000 each. I wonder if they are going to put more 2001's in?

What do they have currently?

They have 2001-DCs. They're marked on the Ohio map.

They have a mix of 2001s of different generations. Some older style SRNs from the early 90s, newer SRNs from the late 90s/early 2000s and at least one later SRNB with the large FS logo.

There's also one 2001-DC located next to the former Mason Heights Elementary at 200 Northcrest Drive in Mason. I do not know if it still works though.

So this just happened..... Hamilton County's System was set off by accident this morning. It was due to "operator error."

Yep, I just heard about it. I’m at home, but did not hear them since I usually keep headphones on and listen to music while I work.

The last false alarm activations I remember in Hamilton County were in 2006. One was after 8pm one evening in March when a computer glitch activated the sirens in attack for about 10 minutes, and another was a short alert activation that happened just before 3pm one day in December while I was in 5th grade at Whitaker Elementary.
