Secomak purchase

Sun Feb 01, 2015 9:24 pm

My first siren I have bought from someone overseas! It should be here sometime this week or next, it is a 24 volt Secomak GP1 from the UK.

I do have a lot of small sirens! :) I've had a few big ones over the years such as a Thunderbolt 1003, STH-10, M5, P15 and a screamer, but now the biggest one I have now is my Model 3, and it's the only one I currently have that runs on 3 phase. The smaller ones are much easier to store and can operate on single-phase power most of the time. The only other ones I'm looking for now are and Erick siren and a Secomak GP3.

I agree, you have too many sirens. I'll take them off your hands LOL

I was joking...

Again, very nice! I hope there's no import complications. I'm usually very skeptical about buying overseas for that reason. (not that this has to do with anything) A couple of years back, I ordered a soviet era AK-74 stock for my AK, but when it got here (took two weeks from Ukraine to US), it was held by customs for nearly a month for some unknown reason.

I picked the Secomak up from the post office today! After tightening up the screws and running leads from the internal terminal block, it works great! I just tried it on half-voltage using my motorcycle battery.
