Is this pull station addressable?

Sun Dec 31, 2023 3:15 am

I got this BG-12 rebrand for Christmas, and I was wondering if the green thingy on the circuit board with the LED is an addressable module. From what I've gathered I think that it's addressable, but it says "Conventional Manual Call Point" on the back so I wanted to make sure. And if I can, how would I wire it up to alarms without a panel? Thank you! :D

Ah so it's one of those knockoff BG-12s, right?

If that's the case, then no, it's just a LED indicator board, this pull is conventional, you'd just need to wire it in series with the alarm you want to connect as if the pull was a light switch.

Hope that helps :)

Ok, thanks! So I would just insert the wires, screw the wires into the positive and negative terminals on the green thingy and then it would work, right? Thank you again! :D

Uh yup, one positive goes into the pull station's normally common, the other positive wire (from the pull station to the alarm) goes from the NO (normally open) terminal in the pull to the alarm.

The negative wire, you just directly wire it up to the alarm.

That should get you going, assuming this pull has a single pole NO/NC switch.
