Shopping for a tone alert weather radio.

Hi all,

I have a Whistler WS 1010 scanner with the weather service function on it, but I'm looking for something that comes with the tone alert feature that only does warnings for your county.

I don't have much of a brand preference. My grandpa worked for Mobilcomm fixing Motorola's but I've got a $30 ish budget.

It's going to be on my dresser or desk. I have a UPS so I don't need to worry about having a hand crank. Backup batteries are preferred and welcome.

I have a Midland WR400 deluxe which works pretty good, but there are tons of different models of radios. I bet there’s a whole forum dedicated to them, but there’s people on here that will know more than me.

I second this. This is the brand I recommend to friends and family. Any Reecom radio I've come across has been nothing short of a tank.
