Anyone have a train horn, old or new, that they have lying around?

I don't have a train horn or anything but I do like them. However I like diaphone horns, and air whistles more than a train horn.

I's like to get a Nathan P series Old Castings either a P-3 or P-5.

the nathan M's are a much better sounding series to me. although i would like to get a triple horn setup, like the Grover 1275, a lot of replications by other companies have made horns exactly like them.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I like electric-resonating horns. I'm not so interested in anything that mechanically forces air out to make noise, so a membrane-horn is the best choice for me.

Nathans aren't going to need as much air as a Diaphone because they are diaphragm horns, and it takes a good amount of air volume to get the piston moving in a Diaphone.

You dont have the option for dual Grover Stuttertone emergency horns. Honestly i love the sound of a pair of them blasting their way down the streets with the Q siren wailing.

I'll tell you what, nothing beats the sound of a pair of 4h and 4l Cunningham Air Whistles. A wonderful sound together and very attention grabbing. I was never into air powered devices until I heard my first recording of a set of diaphram horns, it was a 4H and 4L pair. It is from Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department #5 and can be found on Longislandfirealarm.com or you can click on this link to hear the recording: http://longislandfirealarm.com/manhasse ... lleCO5.wma
