Asc t135?

Wed Jan 08, 2020 12:57 am

I'm sorry if their is another post discussing this but many searches came up dry. Does anyone know if the t135 ac/DC actually produces 135 db? Is it louder than a t128?
PLEASE DONT TAKE ANYTHING I SAY SERIOUSLY!

It's more like 132db or 133db and yes they are louder than a t-128. And much bigger too.

The official documentation on them states that they produce 132 dB +/- 1 and have a 2 mile radius. It's quite a bit bigger and louder. The chopper in it is roughly about the size of the one in the P-15 and is driven by a 20 HP 72VDC motor. The T-128 in comparison has a chopper similar in size to the Model 3 with a 7 HP 48 VDC motor.

Even though I know a lot about sirens, are the T-135 and T-128 alike? :?
I still post here, but not as much as I used to.

Yes, very similar in sound and appearance, but the T-135 is bigger and appears slightly different than the T-128.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

Cool. How big are both sirens side by side?
