Single head Sterling Little Giant?

Thu Jun 10, 2021 1:48 am

So I was siren hunting for my Washington state map, and I found this in the small town of of Chelan Falls, WA. It is located at 47.8010346, -119.9846141, at the fire station at 24 Chestnut St(apologies for the bad street view): https://www.google.com/maps/@47.8008423 ... 680!8i3840
To me, if I view it from different angles, it looks like a Sterling Little Giant with a single head. The bucket projector, size and motor to projector size ratio all match up. I couldn’t find any pictures of a single head Little Giant anywhere, and a ARS search for the town name showed nothing, so I’m stumped.

Pretty sure it’s not a N series, I forgot to mention that if you look into the projector on street view, you can see the oval logo that a Little Giant has.

Single head little giants did exist. There are not that many, I know of some in Canada and some sprinkled around the US. Great find!
Also, correcting Archon, the Sterling "N" is actually the sterling M-3.

Ok, thanks for helping me identify it. I will add it to my Washington map.

M3 or M5 or M45 and even M10, Sterling didn't make that thing very clear.

About 4 single head little giants still exist in Australia, and one dual head. There was at least one more, but it was replaced.
