Federal signal model 7t tag

Mon Nov 11, 2024 2:28 pm

I found this low mounted model 7 in a small town so I got this Picture of the tag. The tag claims the siren is a model 7, even though it is clearly dual tone. Is that normal? I also wanted a date code out of the serial number. :D

That's not particularly unusual. Federal didn't always add the "T" to the tag on dual tone sirens, especially on earlier units. It's something they started doing most commonly on later FS&S and FS units.
