Grounded Sentry 5V and beat up STH-10 in Daugherty Township, PA

Mon Nov 11, 2024 11:49 pm

I found a red Sentry 5V on the ground at the Daugherty Township VFD, and a STH-10 with missing and loose horns. FD said they are fixing the 5V and replacing the STH, however they are not planning on getting rid of either siren.

Man, that STH-10 has seen better days...looks like a bat has been taken to it.

Right? I wonder what could cause it that much damage.. From what I know PA doesn't get bad bad storms either so I don't know if a storm could of done this.

It isn't storms as much as it is winter weather in general...you'd be surprised how often sirens are replaced in the northeast.
