Heres the two Nebraska testing dates i knwo.
Hadar Nebraska: 1st Tuesday of month, not sure what time. They never gave me one.
Norfolk: SWA, 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 9:00AM.
I'd just like to correct the "Louisiana" section.SICentral wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 3:31 pmHere's my latest huge undertaking; this is a document comprised of the siren testing times for every country, state, county, city, and town I could find. Still a heavy work in progress, but I've got a few places down already (and have quite a few more to go.) Realistically speaking this will probably never be finished, and is going to be very hard to maintain, but as long as I have time for it, it will be updated regularly. If you have anything you'd like to add, please leave it here.
Krotz Springs only has 1 siren (excluding the Model DSA system) so that will not be included. The water treatment plant also has 1 siren so it has been removed (not sure why I added it to begin with). I want to make it clear that locations will only be added if they have more than 1 siren. I will be removing locations that do not meet this criteria. Have updated Port of New Orleans to reflect that the information is unconfirmed.PelicanStateSirens wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 1:47 pmI'd just like to correct the "Louisiana" section.SICentral wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 3:31 pmHere's my latest huge undertaking; this is a document comprised of the siren testing times for every country, state, county, city, and town I could find. The Port of New Orleans is not confirmed to set their sirens off for a weekly test. There are no known recordings, nor is there documentation of a test schedule.
Secondly, the Fedelcode in the New Orleans Water Treatment Plant was indeed recorded, as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-MuhMAmYGM
It is unknown if it is still tested, or even used. Until someone records it again, there is no confirmation. Although, it indeed still exists there.
Finally, the city of Krotz Springs does a daily noon blast. According to a firefighter, the siren recently randomly turned on and ran for about 30 minutes before finally being shut off. According to that same firefighter, the city of Krotz Springs is looking into replacing the old Darley. No information on the replacement, or when it will occur has been told. Here is a video of the Darley: https://youtu.be/dqSqcVhtPOY?si=pDXR1kSLztxfRAcv
I'd like to add that the Port Of New Orleans "test schedule" is probably just confused with the chemical plant parallel to the Port right across the river, Kinder Morgan. I was in a spot where both a 20V2T (opposite side of the river, only about 2000 feet away) and the Whelen (400 feet away) were both visible, the 20V2T was not heard at all, even after the Whelen wound down.SICentral wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 3:00 pmKrotz Springs only has 1 siren (excluding the Model DSA system) so that will not be included. The only county that does a test as a whole county is Warren County however they have very few sirens so I've just listed out the fire departments/towns in the list above.
Also, the reliability is very subjective from both my own experience and others, so just letting you know.
If you would also like me to alphabetize, I can do that.
