Wed Jan 22, 2025 5:21 pm

Hello, here is this cyclone model that has a triangular diamond shape. Anyone know if this existed anywhere. Thank you

I don't think any of these actually reached production before the design was changed to the regular Cyclone 120 design, as none of these have ever been documented existing anywhere. Seeing how goofy this looks, it likely wasn't a final design.

It's definitely concept art for the prototype Cyclone. Lots of the sirens pictured in the advertisement are also prototype models as well!

The concept looks like it has an excess amount of sheet metal.

Yes, so did someone draw the siren and then animate it in a computer as the image is to good to be a drawing form pencil.

No, there are people out there who are very good at drawing realistic designs on paper. Someone probably got paid to do that for ACA back when that ad was made. CAD renders were probably done on supercomputers reserved for NASA if at all.

This is from 1968, they wouldn't have used computer graphic design back then because computers didn't have graphics. It would've all been done by hand and then reprinted.

It's an early design for the cyclone 120, which was changed before the siren entered production
