North Liberty Iowa sirens

Wed Mar 05, 2025 3:15 pm

I live in North Liberty Iowa and we only have Whelen WPS sirens here Recently I have been trying to find out what kind of sirens we had before we got Whelen sirens I looked on street views, google earth, and I found nothing but I looked up The North Liberty Fire Station to see if they ever had a siren and I still found nothing but I went onto our fire station website and found an old photo with a fire truck outside of the station but I saw something interesting on top of the station it was a siren mount but the sad thing is it didn't show the full siren itself. It would be great if anyone can help me figure it out ;)

here is the photo I found:

The top of that tower seems fairly small and is more than likely a model 2 of some sort up there

You're probably right. It could be a Model 2, I also think it could either be a Model 5, Model 7, or a Screamer.
