Jarrell, Texas FS Model 7

There is a Federal Signal Model 7 located at Williamson County Fire Station #1 off of N 5th street. I heard that it is set off for "ceremonial" use only. In May of 1997, an F5 tornado destroyed a neighborhood to the North of the siren, completely slabbing every house there. Maybe that's when it's set off in memory of the nearly 30 people killed? If anybody has any info on when it's set off, that would be much appreciated.
