Neither St. Louis Park nor Edina had Penetrators. St. Louis Park had 5 Thunderbolts until the late 80s when they started slowly being replaced with Thunderbeams. They even had a Roundback 2001 installed in the late 80s (on top of a clock tower at Vernon Ave & Utica Ave, near Miracle Mile). This replaced a Thunderbeam that was across Excelsior Blvd, which had replaced a Thunderbolt 1000 (single-tone).

Edina had 4 Allertors, 2 (possibly 3) SD-10s, and one SuperBanshee (I think it was - it looked like one) during the 80s and much of the 90s. I used to record these sirens regularly, even before I knew what they were called. I didn't know the name Allertor until one day in the 90s when I asked a city employee what kind of siren was on top the a fire station in Bloomington at Bush Lake Rd & 106th St (removed in about 2008). He looked at a brochure they had from Alerting Communicators of America. I thought the spelling was unusual, but he was right. Now, of course, Allertor is a household name among the siren enthusiast community.
