Any Info on CTI Still?

Tue Apr 10, 2012 2:56 am

Did a little searching on the boards and there wasn't much discussion on the company, other than a few tidbits here and there. I do remember the company had one rotating and two omni models as far as i can recall. But when exactly did they go out of business and how extensive was their history? Were there any other models in the works? And I never understood what the acronym stood for, either. I think Ben Shinn was a local distributor or dealer, but other than him is there anyone else with any close knowledge? I'm pretty sure any substantial info on CTI is now long-gone after all these years, but I am curious. Any info would be appreciated!

They had two omnis - There are 2 installed in Okmulgee, OK - and a rotating model similar to the Penetrator 15. They were based in Broken Arrow, OK, and also distributed STH 10s. All I know.

As I understand, they were an Oklahoma-based company.

That isn't the omnidirectional CTI siren I seen in Okmulgee, it was really odd shaped. It also had horns. Here is a streetview of one of them.

I have a better picture a former member took, I'll try and find it and post it.

I think I remember seeing a pic of the horned one. Did it have straight square piping for horns instead of exponential horns?

That looks quite a bit like a P-15.

Also, anyone notice the "Vertually maintenance free design"?
