I'm trying to get siren locations in Louisiana, because I'm going to head out there someday. I'm after some locations in the state itself.

Here's what I have so far:

Locations will be greatly accepted!
(sorry for the n00bish post)

I seem to remember there being an STL-10 or other similar siren on top of the fire department in Oakdale, LA.

New Orleans has T-135's on the College Campus. And also when my dad went to New Orleans, he said he saw Whelens in the suburb cities. He didn't tell me where, though.

Here's the T-135, it's on the library: http://goo.gl/maps/scr9V

There aren't many sirens in the northern part of Louisiana... I think I've seen one out of numerous visits....

I have seen several sirens in the southern part of the state....the whelens are all heading out of new Orleans towards BR on I-10 I don't remember the names either but several are visible from the interstate.

Baton rouge has a couple of whelens around LSU and I've seen two 2*10's in Lake Charles.

Louisiana isn't the most siren friendly state

You talking about these Whelens? http://goo.gl/maps/zrdJq They're all located throughout the Saint James Parish area.

Does anyone have a clue about Alexandria (Rapides Parish) sirens? I think I found an SD-10 on top of the Capital One building downtown.

There's another inactive Thunderbolt 1000T from Shreveport's old CD system left standing.
