Here in Ontario County, NY, they test all of the fire sirens on Monday nights around 7:30.

In Queen Anne's, Caroline and Talbot counties on Maryland's Eastern Shore the FD sirens make up the "Tri-County Community Alert Siren System they are tested on the first Saturday of every mounth at noon. The test consists of a 3 to 5 min fast wail (attack) followed by 3 min steady (all clear) tone. The funny thing the sirens in my town they do not fast wail get 1 short growl followed by 4:59 min of silence then the 3 min all clear I emailed the county emergency mamager several times and all I get is a generic auto response email...go figure...hope nothing happens that we actually need it.

I almost forgot, thanks for reminding me about this...
The last day I was up there (I should come back soon), we went to Navarino to look at the FD's siren. I'm guessing its more likely a Siro-Drone, or it could be a Fedelcode.

I love the way that 2T22 is mounted. I like it when a "traditional mount" isn't used.

Yes, I have come across a few with the "non traditional" mount. The only problem with the 2T22's mount is the lower intake is practically blocked.

There is another China Factory in Camillus that also has a K-5 on it. The Camillus K-5 survived a HUGE fire last year that destroyed most of the building.

Really? I thought this was the one on the archives? What a coincidence. Are they active by chance.

No. they are not active. The one on the Siren Archive is the Camillus one. I wish they were active, they are quite rare. Hearing one would be a real treat! My guess is that they were probably used to call the workers to lunch time, ect.

Well, I was up in South Onondaga and was hoping for testing, but drill night must've been cancelled because they never tested. I did however find out some more to the Civil Defense system. They all ran an "All Clear" tone, there might've been dual toned ones in the system, Lyncourt has the last one in the system, and there was a Thunderbolt on top of a telephone building. I will get a video of Lyncourts' T-bolt running in alert I think (video isn't mine).
