Re: Miscellaneous Siren Photos Thread

Today I drove around Blue Hill Nebraska as I had a hunch they had another siren in addition to their 3t22. I didnt see anything but it was getting dark and I didnt check the whole town.

I went to lunch in Cambell Nebraska and while I know they have a T-121 by the water tower, I had a hunch their old whistle was still up and I was right, I found a Sterling M-3, and it's ACTIVE! It did a 1 pm blast so it's being used for time signalling.

Cambell. I did see a warning horn of some sort on the side of a building, but I didnt have time to investigate.

Very nice single headed Model M! They should probably make a motor cover for it, though...

Thanks. With the iron frame above the siren, im wondering if it had a doghouse over it, was removed to repair the siren, and not put back on.

Today I went a little out of my way to see if Farnam Nebraska's 3T22 was still up. Pulling into town I was greeted by a 14V planted behind the fire hall. It isnt a B model so I suspect it runs off the generator next to it as the fire hall only has a single phase service. Long story short I didnt see the 3T and its tower behind the village office.

I headed up the road to Wylie,TX to snap a pic of one of their old ACA P10 sirens. It's weather beaten but still performs well.

Stopped by one of Rowlett, TX's new Whelen 2900 sirens that are replacing their 20+ year old system of ASC T128's.

That T128 is low as heck! I am guessing it is on a parking garage?

Hello, fellow siren enthusiasts. I am losing interest, but will be back on the board from time to time.

Yeah, it's not low. It's considerably high up but low to whoever is on the top floor
