We have rooms similiar to that at work. The walls, floors, and ceilings are covered with pyramid shaped pieces of foam that absorb RF from high powered aircraft radars. It looks like something out of a children's nightmare.

yeah, even though they have a different job to do, RF anechoic chambers look surprisingly similar to acoustic anechoic chambers. a few jobs ago we had an RF anechoic chamber at our building; it was automotive-geared so the RF attenuation was taken care of by ferrite tiles places all over the walls and ceiling.

'cept those (4"x4") ferrite tiles were $15 each. And there were hundreds of them in that room.

When I was there on a tour, my guide then said that the one they have now came from the blue island building.
It still had the siren panels mounted on the outside.
