It won't roar as loud as it did before. The 122 dB(c) would be a bit too much for the people standing around the siren. ;)
Maybe it will be used with a lower air pressure. The signal motor runs with 24 V DC so it must be powered with batteries. We'll see.

What is the usual air pressure one of these is used at? I've heard figures all over the map, up to over 1,000 psi (69 bar). There was a picture of a pressure gauge on the HLS website showing 8 bar, but there wasn't any explanation of what the gauge meant.

69 bar is a bit too much. ;) The Pintsch Bamag works with a pressure of approx. 10 bar (10,5 at). The data sheet says: "air consumption: 1,2 m? at 10,5 at). So it could be some more or less.

The later H?rmann HLS 273 - 673 (Click!) work with pressures of 5 - 16 bar depending on the model.
